Fashion and beauty go hand in hand and that is something that both Shopbop and Sephora know very well. They both excel at their craft of giving us what we need to look and feel beautiful and now they have collaborated on a Color Play 5-in-1 limited-edition palette.

Palettes are an essential beauty must-have. They work perfect for travel and really give you so many options for a great price. The Color Play Fashion Edition set includes five different color palettes that each include ten eye-shadows, two lip colors, and one blush in runway-inspired color stories, for all the women who want to mimic the looks from their favorite designers. The palettes are inter-changeable which means that you can change them according to your mood or ensemble. Just place the look into the compact, and you are ready to go.

Whitney Eve Spring Summer 2011

WhitneyEve2 Whitney Eve Spring Summer 2011
Everywhere we look we see Whitney Port, The City star turned designer, model, and actress has stretched her design limbs once again gracing us with a collection that blends her relaxed Cali girl aesthetic with her New York City life. We’ve always thought the Whitney Eve girl, the girl that is the inspiration behind the line was Whitney herself, and thus a kind of self-loving passion that produced the Whitney Eve label that was totally about her. Does that mean we loved it any less? Of course not.

Ever since Anne Slowey told Whitney that she’s not a real designer we’ve been waiting for the day when the sweet, and mild mannered Cali girl would dig deep enough into her soul to create a collection that would make even the Elle Editor think again.  Even if she still doesn’t totally believe in the necessity of black in a collection, Whitney’s persistence has made her persevere in this industry before and it will help her to do it again, especially by the looks of this collection.

Bright colors and geometric prints brought L.A. street style to New York, as the modish essence of this collection gave us a kind of Whitney Port meets Twiggy combination that we kind of love. Flouncy skirts paired with off the shoulder tops, bright oranges paired with pastel greens and peaches gave this collection balance.

Matthew Williamson Spring 2010

00260m mw first 266x400 Matthew Williamson Spring 2010For London Fashion Week’s 25th Anniversary, Matthew Williamson returned home after several seasons showing in New York. His Spring 2010 Collection was in his usual flirty and sleek fashion and his boho roots peeked through in bright graphic prints and dresses that cascaded the runway floor.

With each season, Williamson’s collections are becoming more and more focused with the Spring 2010 Collection becoming a dream for the city-dwelling woman. Barely there dresses with geometric cut-outs and dominatrix-styled booties were shown for the woman who isn’t afraid of a little color nor afraid of her body. Hot pants made several appearances in eye-popping colors continuing the trend from New York Fashion Week and instructing us to get in shape for the season to come. Tailored pieces were interspersed throughout in cropped boyfriend blazers and skinny pants taking a city woman from day to night.

On the beauty side, faces were kept almost bare with taupe smoky eyes and almost undone brows. The hair was swept back away from the face in a sleek and intricate design allowing the clothes to play centerstage.

Matthew Williamson’s Spring 2010 Collection was a very grown-up effort and showed his London homecrowd how much he has grown throughout the years. Fashion icons, Twiggy and Yasmine Le Bon, sat front-row as well as Olivia Palermo.
