10:30am: We made our way down to The Grand Promenade at Lincoln Center for the Catherine Malandrino Spring Summer 2011 show on Sunday. Models towered over us on block pedestals surrounding the pool, clad in couture and straw hats. The safari inspired collection started our day off right with an assortment of sophisticated and timeless billowy dresses, jumpsuits, and flowing wide legged pants. Catherine Malandrino’s palette of khakis, whites, and browns in patterns and prints.

12:50pm: Catch a cab down to Greenwich St to catch the DKNY Spring Summer 2011 show. Always a crowd pleaser, Dona Karan presented true concrete jungle style in bold prints. Neutrals paired with pops of red and blue haunted the catwalk in blazers, skirts, dresses and pants. The resident New York darling of women’s wear gave us a collection of chic versatile pieces that go from office to cocktail hour with a few key accessories. The Donna Karan New York Spring Summer collection pinpoints ruffles and patterned scarves as trends to watch in the upcoming season, if we were you we’d keep our eye out for scarves worn as blouses and ruffled cocktail dresses.

1:50pm: Grab a cab back to Lincoln Center for the Rebecca Taylor Spring Summer 2011 show. We were blown away by the flirty, sexy, fun, feminine, and modern collection that Rebecca sent down the runway. She highlighted trends to watch, from ruffled skirts and dresses to loosely fitted tops and miniskirts. Of course it wouldn’t really be spring if we didn’t see any florals, the Rebecca Taylor Spring Summer collection played with the collection’s own feminine wiles with floral prints on shoes, bags, dresses, skirts, belts, shorts and shirts.

3:00pm: Grab something to eat, stock up on Starbucks frappuccino’s and grab a few bottles of water, check our voicemails and emails, and head back to Lincoln Center.

6:00pm: Head back to Lincoln Center to check in for Custo Barcelona’s Spring Summer 2011 show. We sat in our seat humming the tune to “Lets get Loud” by J.Lo as we waited for the show to start. Custo Barcelona’s ‘Fiction and Reality’ collection was filled with neons, colored feathers, peasant tops, tie-dyes, acid washes, vests, and sequins. The collection’s energy and free spirit had us reeling for the rest of the night and hankering for a trip to Spain.
