Junker, is an LA based brand known for its insane, one-of-a-kind, custom pieces. Starting out from what some may refer to as “dumpster diving,” designers, Tod and Guiliana, began to manipulate fabrics such as denim and leather, using paints and dye processing.

Lenny Kravitz was actually the first to buy a vest that Tod made when he moved from Houston to L.A., and that was the beginning of Junker. From there Tod met Guiliana and they began to collaborate on pieces together. These team efforts brought forth the stream of celebrity fans: Steven Tyler, Britney Spears, and Johnny Depp, to name a few.

Junker continues to customize its looks with an edge to fit its audience including some the biggest rockers. Tod and Guiliana are the”God’s” of handmade rock n’ roll royalty couture.

Junker is sold at Chic Little Devil in Los Angeles and worldwide online at www.chiclittledevil.com.

Moody Mamas is Making Maternity Look Chic

By Samantha

-5

When two single, fashion lovers come together with an inspiration, the last thing you would think the marriage would end with is a maternity line. However, Marta Abrams and Elise Rosemarin, both in their 20s with no children, threw the rule book out the window, and it is truly their children-free lives that has allowed them to create such an amazing moo-moo free collection, fabulously named Moody Mamas.

Most maternity wear is frumpy and when you have a large belly, the last thing you want to feel is fatter than you already feel. However, will the boom of celebrity pregnancies, the world has gotten a taste of pregnancy chic. Marta and Elise worked to create an “anti-maternity” line, full of bold pieces allowing moms-to-be the ability to feel fashionable, sexy and hip despite their growing waistlines, and their line has been nothing short of a success. Celebrity fans of Moody Mamas include Jessica Alba, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Tori Spelling, Laila Ali and true model baby-maker Heidi Klum. Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano, joined the team, creating a high-end line for the label, properly called “Fierce Mamas by Moody Mamas.”

In Los Angeles, on December 2nd, Christian Siriano will be showing a preview of his Spring 2010 collection of Fierce Mamas at Rogers & Cowan in the Pacific Design Center. He will be on board to showcase how all women can look stylish and “fierce” during their pregnancy. Moody Mamas is amazing, consistently fun, edgy and bold, and to think the line was started by two women in their 20s with no children is mind-boggling.
