To say that Beyoncé is one of the most beautiful women in the world is not an exaggeration. She blends her ferocity onstage with her sweet and feminine demeanor offstage and they come together to create a talented superstar. Tweet this Giveaway | Danika Harlequin Charm Bracelet
By Samantha
Beyonce has become a fan of Danika Faiola’s fantastic jewelry line, aptly named, Danika, and we are not surprised. The designer is relatively young, but that has only catapulted her design success more, as she truly has a fresh approach to accessories. Danika pays homage to the 1980s in her collection, with a bit of a futuristic vibe tied in. Suit Up In Your BODYAMR
By Samantha
BODYAMR started off as a line of promotional tees made in collaboration with the London based band, “The Soho Dolls,” and was launched exclusively at Colette in Paris. Those tees turned the brand upside down, as the following year, BODYAMR showed its first collection at London Fashion Week in 2006. The feminine, mysterious, bold line immediately garnered fans, including Tom Ford. Since its launch, BODYAMR has grown, and has worked on collaborations with Christian Louboutin, and has been chosen frequently by Fashion Council’s to publicize their respective fashion weeks.
The luxury brand has a cult like following, which includes AnnaLynne McCord, Katy Perry, Katherine McPhee, Beyonce and Amanda Seyfried, to name a few. BODYAMR boasts sophisticated glamour, with body hugging pieces that are delightfully edgy and delectably lust-worthy. The brand is a bit dark and moody, which is part of what allows it to evoke such a beautiful sense of cutting edge drama. The London based brand produces all of its garments by hand, and includes some limited edition collections. BODYAMR Ambassadors, which include Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Whitney Houston and Elle MacPherson are able to wear one of a kind pieces, that instantly become collectibles; wearable art for the true supermodel.
For AW10, BODYAMR’s show was called “A Vanguard,” which is the forward element of an advancing military tactical formation. The inspiration was a more primeval approach to female empowerment, and influence was found from powerful women in history. There is a strong Arabic influence in the collection, which lends a sleek, tribal feel to the line. BODYAMR’s AW10 woman is a modern day beauty, a goddess the rules the world around her and stakes her claim in society.
BODYAMR’s collections are small and intimate but boast ornate, stunning, intricate designs oozing with femininity and polished luxury. Each collection has reference points from the designer’s Omani heritage. BODYAMR focuses on the juxtapositions: hard to soft, vintage to futuristic and bracing to draped. It is these juxtapositions that allow the collection to make such a refined statement of elegance, with a hint of bad-girl tied in. The dark collection focuses on silhouettes and detailing, which are brooding and glamorous. BODYAMR is drool-worthy, yet never overtly sexual, which I really love. It is the covert sensuality in each piece that leaves me wanting more.

My Interview with Celebrity Makeup Artist Mally Roncal
By Faith
Mally Roncal is one of those inspirational women: beautiful inside and out, an entrepreneur with her own business, a beautiful family…the list goes on. You might have seen her work on your favorite faces from Jennifer Lopez, to Beyonce, to Mariah Carey and more. I have already spent many a night with Mally (watching her on QVC that is).
I caught up with the super busy, super chic beauty guru to dish on celebrities, the Bachelor Wedding and all the makeup tips one could ever need.
What is your daily beauty routine? There’s no such thing as daily in my life, but if I’m not going on camera and just planning to be around the office or at home, my routine is pretty basic. My skincare routine starts with a lot of moisturizer from Dr. Brandt and my new Mally Beauty Perfect Prep Eye Cooling Gel System. Then, I apply my Perfect Prep Poreless Primer, curl my lashes, apply a couple coats of mascara, waterproof eye liner, groom the brows with my Brow Beauty Brow Boost, a touch of color on the cheeks, and a sheer gloss.
What inspired your line? Living on the road with my celeb clients for so many years, I wanted to create makeup that was bulletproof and easy to use so that women could realize their true beauty. It was important for me to give them products that were high performance and long-lasting.
Describe what inspires you to create new products. Definitely my clients! I listen to their beauty woes – especially about makeup companies that promote waterproof, long-lasting makeup and don’t stand true to their word. We test and test to make sure our makeup doesn’t come off, until you want it to. I also strive to give these women the most current, gorgeous colors.
What are 5 beauty essentials that you believe every woman needs? What are 5 key products from your line? Eye Lash Curler (Mally Beauty), mascara (Mally Beauty Volumizing Mascara), eye brow grooming product (Mally Beauty Brow Beauty Brow Fix), blush (Mally Beauty 24/7 Professional Blush System) and concealer (Mally Beauty Cancellation Concealer).
Now you are a makeup artist to the stars. Who have you loved working with? I’ve worked with so many gorgeous, talented women from Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez to Mariah Carey, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Rihanna.
Who would you like to work with in the future? I’m up for anything!
If not a beauty guru, what else would you be? A drag queen and a soccer mom!
Which other makeup artists/beauty gurus do you look to for inspiration? My mentor has always been Mathu Andersen. I met him when I was a teenager. He’s a true artist and continues to inspire me to this day.
Talk about your involvement with the Bachelor Wedding, exciting! When the opportunity was presented to me, I was thrilled to come on board. Molly was such a pleasure to work with. She was completely calm and open to my ideas. We agreed to go with a classic bride look with a modern, sexy twist. When she came in from the downpour after the ceremony, all I had to do was dab her dry with a white towel. The makeup didn’t budge, what a proud moment!
How do you manage your personal life with your busy work life? It’s all about balance and making rules and sticking to them. When I’m home, I make it a point no matter what to have dinner with my family and put all my babies to bed. If I’m away, we Skype the whole time so I can always be a part of their day. My husband and I work together so that helps us stay close all day every day.
Any upcoming projects in the future that we should know about? I have tons of amazing products to share, join me my loves! Mally Beauty on QVC

Katy Perry in The Blonds
By Faith
The 2009 Video Music Awards were truly an unique event from Kanye West’s outburst to a Michael Jackson tribute sure to go down in history. The Red Carpet was nothing short of interesting from Lady Gaga in Gaultier to Pink and Shakira sporting the same dress.
One lady who stood out from the masses was the always lovely and original Katy Perry who capitalized on the big trends of the night: metallics and minidresses. Perry rocked an amazing one-of-a-kind piece from Philippe and David Blond of The Blonds. The piece was rhodium-plated and made of silver mesh chains, though a far cry from the traditional notions of armor. Crystals adorned the dress and helped Perry to shine like the star that she is.
Philippe and David also made Perry’s performance piece which was an ode to Frankie Mercury and crowned Perry as one of the best-dressed of the night. The Blonds have dressed like-minded fashionistas such as Rihanna and Beyonce and we cannot wait to see what other designs they have up their sleeves.
More images of the dazzling dress below.
