Suno Debuts E-Commerce and Newly Redesigned Site

Suno NY site Suno Debuts E Commerce and Newly Redesigned Site

Suno’s Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty launched their first e-commerce site this past Monday on a newly redesigned sunony.com. Osterweis, who is ½ of the Kenya based brand, spoke about the risks involving retail versus online commerce. “I felt like it was easier than opening my own brick-and-mortar shop-but I might have been wrong there,” said Osterweis. The unfussy-clean looking site mimicks the brand’s easy and practical shapes. The e-commerce site offers nearly the full collection with the addition to some web exclusive swimsuits.

Suno fans who have been anticipating the brand’s online shop for quite some time will love that the service is simple and presents the clothing in uncomplicated form. Osterweis also spoke about the site’s aesthetics, stating “We don’t really want to re-invent the wheel entirely. It’s going to look very clean and people are going to be able to see the clothing better than a lot of other websites.”

Fans who love the brand’s uber-bright and graphic prints, need not worry about a bland looking site as Osterweis confirmed that Suno’s spring colorful prints will also be incorporated, lending texture and depth to the two-dimensional medium. The site will also feature a selection of impulse buys upon checkout-who doesn’t love those-and a couple of literary offerings including The Baron in the Trees by Italo Calvino, and photography books by Angela Fisher. Osterweis, who admits to playing DJ at the office, also plans on creating a playlist once a month.
