Natalie Portman in Rodarte
By Faith
Natalie Portman dazzled in a red claret silk and tulle gown at the premiere of her new film, Black Swan, at the 2010 Venice Film Festival. It was no surprise that she chose Rodarte as the Mulleavy sisters created costumes for the film.
Portman has been a champion of the brand for sometime now and I must admit that they work perfectly together. A completely elegant yet bold choice. Also under Portman’s belt is a deal as the new face of Parfums Christian Dior.

Jessica Alba in Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2010
By Faith
Despite the gritty nature of her new film, Machete, Jessica Alba went totally feminine at the Venice Film Festival. She chose a long-sleeve floral dress from Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall 2010 collection and in contrast, strappy black leather sandals which added some edge to the ensemble.
Though quite covered up, the look is stunning: eye-catching and chic without going over the top. The heels are a flirtatious juxtaposition and her straight hair and gold bangles are perfect complements.
Visit www.dolceandgabbana.com for more looks from the Fall 2010 Collection and see Alba’s dress on the runway below.

Chloe Sevigny Rocks Ippolita Jewelry
By Faith
Chloe Sevigny never fails in the fashion department. Her style is one-of-a-kind and she goes places that most are afraid to. At HBO’s Post-Emmy Party, she opted for jewels from Ippolita to add some glam to her leopard minidress and Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly booties.
Ippolita’s design beginnings started in her hometown of Florence where she learned to appreciate Renaissance art and architecture, eventually earning her Baccalaureate in Sculpture from the Istituto d’Arte. Her signature is her gold jewelry which she took months to perfect and which she believes connects her with her customer: “Jewelry is emotional. The very color of my gold jewelry attracts you to it.”
She launched her 18K jewelry collection at Bergdorf Goodman in 1999 and has since risen to fame in the industry. Each of her pieces is made by hand, which makes each piece unique and special.
Sevigny chose Ippolita’s gold Glamazon® Link Necklace and the Glamazon® Link Bracelet which are both available at www.ippolita.com. View her entire look below.

Buy Now: Camel Outerwear
By Faith
Camel outerwear is all the rage for Fall and it has been seen on runways from New York to Milan. As cold weather approaches and my must-have list grows, this item is number one as it is a total investment piece as well being a classic that can be worn for years to come. When all else fails, go minimal.
Miuccia Prada designed the coat above which takes on the look in a double-breasted and shiny leather style, measuring at around knee-length. Other designers went for more simplistic tailoring including Dries Van Noten with a blazer and Michael Kors with an oversized coat, while Valentino opted for a ruffle trenchcoat.
Below are some of my favorite choices for Fall.
Acne’s Wool Galaxy Coat. Behnaz Sarafpour.
Dries Van Noten. Alexander Wang.
Ann Demeulemeester. Michael Kors.
3.1 Phillip Lim. Valentino’s Trench Coat.
Zac Posen. Undercover.

Kate Beckinsale in Versace Resort 2011
By Faith
Though not starring in the film, Kate Beckinsale made an appearance at the Los Angeles Premiere of Going the Distance. She chose a dress from Versace’s Resort 2011 collection: a white leather shift minidress which showed off her great physique.
Beckinsale’s perfectly coiffed ponytail and choice of black satin Ferragamo pumps gave the dress a polished and refined look. Her choice of a simple Jimmy Choo clutch rounded out the ensemble perfectly.

Jessica Lowndes in Matthew Williamson Resort 2011
By Faith
The Emmy Awards are six days away, but the parties have already begun. Audi & Chopard kicked off Emmy Week with a fabulous fête full of Hollywood’s most talented actors and actresses.
Jessica Lowndes made an appearance at the event and shined in a dress from Matthew Williamson’s Resort 2011 collection. The dress perfectly complemented her shiny brown locks and the orange belt gave a pop of color to the whole ensemble. She accessorized with chocolate brown peep-toe pumps and a clutch in a similar shade.

Web Vice | Vue Society, Rachel Kim
By Kimberly
So Bellevue isn’t the worst place in the world you could be, with it’s AHHI, and it’s liberal diversity. It’s one of the more accepting cities in the world and the only way it gets better is if you are interlacing nostalgias of NYC. You see, I met Rachel through craigslist, back when people were meeting and not murdering. Back when you could find a killer job without worrying whether you were going to get dragged into a back alley and mugged for your resume.
Rachel, with her optimistic tone and exuberating persona, moved back to Bellevue and found a love…of smart life, style and culture sprinkled with the former musings of NYC.
VueSociety.com is a great personification of the friend Rachel is, it’s fun, entertaining and cleverly endearing. We don’t travel outside of our demo (NY, LA, London, or Paris) very often…but experiences in the melting pot brought home are worth the prose.
Check out Rachel’s trip to NYC. Every true fashionista knows, there is nothing wrong with Forever 21, as long as you are young enough to wear it, old enough to pair it with ‘Signature Staples’, and expensive enough not to look like a ‘cheap chick’
This blog is definitely worth bookmarking, and one to add to the master list. If you speak to Rachel, tell her I said hello, and to enjoy the VUE!

Tweet for Charity | Pledge to WiN: Domestic Violence Angel Wings
By Kimberly
Amy Nix, fashion industry pioneer and jewelry designer, launched nix&stones in 2008. From the beginning, her motivation was to empower women and to inspire them to find their spirit by seizing every moment. As her unique vision and jewelry designs matured, nix&stones began attracting attention from boutiques and celebs nationwide. One particularly popular piece was the signature, stone-embellished Angel Wings.
As her business continued to grow, Amy remained active in supporting a cause she strongly believed in, domestic violence awareness and prevention. Sadly, many victims of domestic violence become trapped in a vicious circle. Though these women desperately want to leave their abusive partners, the lack of a stable job and a safe place to escape to, and fear for themselves and their children makes it extremely difficult for many women to get out of abusive relationships.
In 2010, Amy’s family relocated to Leawood, Kansas and as fate would have it, she quickly established a friendship with someone involved in a local battered women’s shelter. As Amy became more intimately familiar with how the organization operates, she realized she was now in a position to help more than ever before. She decided to create a special “Domestic Violence Angel Wing” and to give the proceeds to the halfway house. Amy’s remarkable generosity didn’t stop there– she took it one step further.
Many victims are not fortunate enough to have the means to escape the circle of violence, and feel helpless to escape on their own. So Amy made a proposal to the board to create the very first workshop where she could teach her friends in need how to build the angel wings. Building self-confidence is the first step to helping victims of domestic violence break the cycle. By helping to build the very wings that aid the battered women’s shelter, domestic violence victims would be empowered to aid fellow women– and themselves– escape the cycle of domestic violence.
Today, Amy continues to teach these inspiring women the trade of jewelry making to deliver them from the cycle and to help them learn to channel their pain into a sense of empowerment. Women who have participated in Amy’s program are grateful for the healing power of artistic involvement and its help in soothing their emotional state. Creating the angel wings truly helps to lift their spirits.
The chance to earn an independent income is the only opportunity for families who have been victims of domestic violence to get back on their feet, and with only 90 days to stay in the battered women’s shelter, finding permanent employment can be difficult. To help, Amy has opened up her business to employ normal woman who have undergone these turmoiled circumstances.
Domestic violence is real problem that could affect anyone. Amy stressed that women who have experienced domestic violence are in no way abnormal– they could be your friend or neighbor. Through her program, Amy helps to remove the taboos and the shame sometimes associated with the victims and empowers them to see the beauty in their futures and emgerge from the pain.
Amy wants to expand the program beyond her company and help to establish these programs with other companies as well. We are asking for silent pledges to the charity Amy supports; in exchange the highest bidder will receive a pair of angel wings. Please Tweet this post @POSHGLAM, and email: Kimberly@POSHGLAM.com with “Domestic Violence Angel Wings” in the subject and your name, number, photo, address and pledge. The Domestic Violence Angel Wings retail for $88, so the silent bidding starts at $88, the winner will be announced via twitter.

Sofia Vergara in Louis Vuitton Fall 2010
By Faith
Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2010 Collection for Louis Vuitton was all about classic beauty and curves and no one embodies that idea more than Sofia Vergara. At the Opening of Louis Vuitton Santa Monica to Benefit Heal the Bay, she chose an elegant navy dress from the collection that was understated, yet completely sensual at the same time.
This toned down look is not one often seen on Vergara as she usually opts for shorter hemlines and more body conscious silhouettes. In despite of the dress’ calf-length, she still looks absolutely stunning which shows women that being sexy doesn’t have to be blatant. The subtle accessories of black pumps and a gold clutch finish the look.

Line to Watch: Silvio Liu
By Faith
Silvio Liu is the brainchild of design team Brian Wood and Danny Liu. The line is a perfect blend of femininity and nuance, crafted for a confident woman who knows that a little mystery never hurts. The silhouettes perfectly contour the body in classic shapes that ensure the pieces will never go out of style. There is a relaxed elegance to the line that makes it perfect for both day and night, uptown and downtown.
Brian Wood honed his design skills at Pratt and then moved to creating his namesake menswear line as well as its secondary line, B Wood. He filled a void in the menswear industry with his silk-screened and hand-cut pieces that had a life all their own. He wanted to continue pushing the boundaries of design and meeting Danny Liu made that possible as they were able to create Silvio Liu.
Liu’s family has been in the garment business for over 30 years so it was only natural for him to gravitate towards fashion. He took his knowledge of the business and his strong academic background and decided to use his skills to create a women’s line that was domestically produced. Along with Wood’s expertise, success was imminent.
Silvio Liu exudes a new kind of glamour where ease blends with tailored design. The pieces are ladylike yet powerful, which is something all women can appreciate.
Visit www.silvioliu.com for more information and stay tuned for my review of their Spring 2011 Collection. View some looks from their Resort 2010 collection below.
