Whitney Andresen is a beach girl at heart. Growing up surrounded by the ocean, she spent a great deal of her youth on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. She spent summers fishing off docks and boats with her father, who is just one of the many boat captains in her family. From place to place, bathing suit culture was shaped in Andresen’s life from a young age. She always had one on, even if it was being covered up.

With such a passion for swimwear, Andresen set out to create her first collection, Bikini Thief, which is just launching for Summer 2010. A real surfer, upon graduating college, Andresen found herself leaving to surf the world, with an array of bikini’s with her. Her travels allowed her to gather diverse experiences that helped shape both her life and become to inspiration behind her collection. In each city, she found herself taken by beautiful women in vibrant colors, patterns and styles. She used these in her collection as she saw how they created confidence and serenity to the wearer and those around her. The aesthetic behind her line is a sense of calmness, and she manages to create this even with her bright colors and intricate detailing.
Bikini Thief is a swimwear line for every and any woman that loves water, sand or even a glorious pool. She has a beautiful array of silhouettes for everyone, including soon to be mothers. Aside from barely there bikini’s, the line includes one pieces, and each garment is sexy without being over the top. For the active girl that doesn’t just lay in a chair, but rather, jumps in the pool, and surfs the biggest waves, Bikini Thief is for the confident girl that wants to feel awesome in her barely there suit this summer.
Bikini Thief retails for $108 to $150 and is available online at Bikini Thief. We are sure this is one thief you are going to love too!
