Gotta love Nicki Minaj, somehow she masters the art of attention getting behavior and outlandish ensembles. Last night, Nicki Minaj played it vibrantly cool wearing a Monique Lhuillier Resort 2013 dress at the 40th annual American Music Awards. She was also baubling an ultra glamourous ring and necklace duo by famed jeweler Charles Albert.

Nicki showed off her well-known curves and gracefully modeled this fearless fashion combo. Later in the evening, she accepted the “Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album”.

We have a feeling, designers are starting to recognize her appeal. As her personal style evolves a little bit of us believes Nicki wanted to be high-fash all along, and now that she’s getting taken more seriously, the opportunity is presenting itself. Congrats to Nicki, though the media threw her away, her redeeming qualities and talent brought her back.
