Luxury Lounge with @HBO, @MissJ_Alexander, @JamieLSigler + @LOrealParisUSA

HBO Golden Globes Luxury Suite Jay Alexander Luxury Lounge with @HBO, @MissJ Alexander, @JamieLSigler + @LOrealParisUSA
HBO’s 11th Annual Luxury Lounge was held on Sunday, January 13th in Los Angeles in honor of the 70th Annual Golden Globes. To prepare for the night’s festivities, Hollywood’s elite were pampered from head to toe by the experts at the HBO Luxury Lounge. Featured brands included L’Oréal Paris, Motorola, Pandora, Nautica, Michael Antonio, Staples, Sophia Fiori, Boiron, TiVo, and Eddia Beverly Hills.

For those looking for some jewelry, there were customized Pandora charm bracelets available. Michael Antonio’s completely vegan and eco-friendly shoes were favorites of Lisa and Pandora Vanderpump of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” Braver guests chose to leave their cell phones with the experts and have them set up with Motorola’s S11-FLEX HD wireless headset. Nothing to hide here!

Other guest, like “Dancing with the Stars” Karina Smirnoff and Samantha Harris chose to get their beauty on (like these ladies need any help). Products used by the L’Oréal Paris Beauty Suite included Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara, Colour Riche Colour Caresse Shine Stain and Revitalift Miracle Blur Instant Skin Smoother Finishing Cream. These lucky guests even got to have their hair and make up done and indulge in luxurious manicures and pedicures. Sounds like a great way to get ready for a night of award shows and partying.

And what’s a party without an outfit change? Partygoers like Karina Smirnoff from “Dancing with the Stars” decided to pick up some duds from Nautica. The gentlemen who wanted to spruce up their wardrobe could pick up some silk ties from Eddia Beverly Hills. J. Alexander from “America’s Next Top Model” decided to forgoe the ties, though, and instead tried on some serious bling at Sophia Fiori. And for those interested in preparing for the night from the inside, like Jamie-Lynn Sigler, there were Eco Jute Totes from Boiron filled with homeopathic medicines.

Other stars who attended the event included J. Alexander from “America’s Next Top Model,” Bill Maher from “Real time with Bill Maher,” Lauren Bowles from “True Blood,” and Jeff Garlin from “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

And more good news from L’Oréal Paris: they recently announced that Billy “Billy B.” Brasfield is has come on board as one of their consulting makeup artists. Billy B. has made up the faces of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, such as Beyoncé, Britney Spears, and Lady Gaga. In addition, he has worked the red carpet for the Academy Awards, Emmys, Grammys, and Cannes Film Festival. Billy B. will lend his hand to product development, consumer education and creating trendsetting makeup looks. Hey, anyone who can make Britney Spears look good seems like the kind of guy I want developing my makeup products.

Christian Dior Paris, Jessica Alba in Ariel Gordon & Florals For Spring: Groundbreaking!

Dior Jessica Alba Ariel Gordon Necklace Christian Dior Paris, Jessica Alba in Ariel Gordon & Florals For Spring: Groundbreaking!

Monday’s Christian Dior Haute Couture show in Paris was a stunner. Set in a tent in the Jardin des Tuileries, Raf Simons’ second haute couture collection for the design house sort of seemed like it took place in Never Never Land. Models so waiflike they almost seemed like they were going to fly away strutted through the tent in pixie-cut Jean Seberg wigs. With their flawless, effervescent skin and shiny red lips, they looked like Tinkerbell and her friends coming to rescue us with beautiful clothes. Kind of like fairies on haute couture crack.

The collection included ballet-length gowns, beautifully tailored suits, and lots and lots of layering and draping. Models walked down runways lined with perfectly manicured trees and landscapes designed by Belgian landscape architect Martin Wirtz. The tangerine oranges, rose pinks, lilac purples and bright greens were a good compliment to the backdrop, as were the tiny little silk flowers and petals that decorated many of the pieces in the collection. They were a great take on a typical trend for Spring, but I couldn’t help but think to myself, “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.Miranda Priestly, you own my soul.

But enough about the couture gowns, let’s talk about what the real people were wearing—the celebrities. Celebrities like Jessica Alba. One of our best dressed at the Golden Globes winners, Alba looked like she was straight out of a 1920’s Paris photograph. With her hair pulled back in an elegant bun at the nape of her neck, a flawless brown smoky eye, and red lips, she could easily pass for a doll. She sported a navy blue velvet coat worn with a black dress underneath, black tights, black heels, and a black clutch (navy blue and black—we told you it was good). Around her neck, Jessica wore an Ariel Gordon Jewelry Signet Dog Tag Necklace. And for just $590, you can have your own beautiful 14k gold Ariel Gordon necklace. Now if only we could just have Jessica Alba’s closet… Oh, and all the florals from Dior.

Beyonce in Emilio Pucci, Katy Perry in Rodarte & Pucci’s New Ad Campaign

Beyonce Katy Perry Inauguration Rodarte Emilio Pucci Beyonce in Emilio Pucci, Katy Perry in Rodarte & Puccis New Ad Campaign

Monday morning’s inauguration festivities were not short on stars or style. From the performers to the guests, everyone was in their Monday best. Katy Perry, who attended the event with boyfriend John Mayer, looked subdued and artsy in Rodarte. The songstress, who performed at Saturday’s Kids’ Inaugural Concert, wore an orange and black striped coat and a matching dress underneath from the designers Fall/Winter 2012 collection. She topped off the outfit with black boots, black sunglasses, and a black fedora. Although the colors are typically Halloween-y, this outfit is most definitely not. It’s so good, in fact, that I’m almost positive Taylor Swift will soon write a song bashing it.

Beyonce, who performed the National Anthem for the occasion, wore a beautiful black velvet and chiffon beaded gown from Emilio Pucci’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Accompanied by the U.S. Marine Band, Beyonce blew the crowd (and TV veiwers worldwide) away with her voice and dazzled them with her dress, which she paired with emerald green (the color of the year) earrings. The chiffon cutouts gave the gown some added sexiness while the beading lent some glamorous sparkle. When not performing, she topped off the outfit with a luxurious black Dior fur coat and accessorized with her husband, Jay-Z (do I smell a best dressed couple competition?). If you want Beyonce’s look but don’t exactly have a Pucci budget, Maggy London has a beautiful take on the dress. Their version is shorter (mid-thigh) with three-quarter length sleeves, but at $158 it’s an unbeatable way to get Beyonce’s look for less.

Pucci Ad Campaign 2013 Beyonce in Emilio Pucci, Katy Perry in Rodarte & Puccis New Ad CampaignIn other Pucci news, the Italian design house has just released the ad campaign for their Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Set to debut in February, the campaign, which features Pucci girl Amber Velletta, showcases some of the most amazing pieces from the collection. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, who photographed the Fall campaign as well, shot the photos on location at the Villa D’Este in Rome. The background in the photos is so quintessentially Italian that it looks like it’s straight out of Romeo and Juliet. Complete with old fountains covered in moss, crumbling stone stairways, and lush greenery, it’s the perfect compliment to the classic sexiness that the line exudes. The only way you know you’re not in medieval Italy is because the clothes have a definitively modern look.

Amber Velletta, the star of the campaign, looks stunning in a white tunic worn over white pants with white shoes in one shot. In another, she leans against a pillar in a black long-sleeved mini dress, complete with a turtleneck collar, bell sleeves, and gold detailing. Lastly, she lounges next to a fountain wearing a floor length dress in black, white, and varying shades of pink. Her red lips, slicked back blonde hair, and flawless makeup add to her clearly natural beauty. The Revenge star was the model for the Fall 2012 campaign as well, and clearly she is everything that the Pucci girl represents: graceful, sensual, and beautiful.
