Fashion Week (or better yet Fashion Month) is less than two weeks away. The excitement is starting in cities all around the world and it is tangible in New York where the tents at Bryant Park are now standing. Fashionistas are clamoring for new pieces to fit into their wardrobes and there is no better place to enhance the already existing assortment than Covet Shop.
Covet Shop is new, having just started in May 2009. Founders Nancy Chuang and Gregg Friedman have combined their backgrounds in fashion, business, and web design to create a high-end online consignment boutique. Designers such as Stella McCartney, Brian Atwood, Martin Margiela, Balenciaga and more are available to customers. Each piece is hand-selected and truly unique.
Like any fashionista, Nancy knows the chaos that surrounds Fashion Week from scheduling to outfit planning. She has given us her Fashion Week must-haves from Covet Shop. The dress to the right is a beautiful emerald piece by Stella McCartney. Nancy’s take: ” Just because it’s Fall doesn’t mean we can’t wear color. This lollipop green is as delicious as it looks. Fashion Week is about popping against the grain while doing it with style and ease.” More of Nancy’s picks below.

Stella McCartney Appaloosa Tote: ” I love the texture of this bag. The separate compartments and pockets help you stay organized so you don’t have to dig to find what you’re looking for…a necessity for any fast-paced fashionista.”

Alice + Olivia Stripe Boyfriend Blazer: ” The stripes on this blazer perfectly complement its rich color. Because it’s a variation of neutral tones, it’s an extremely versatile piece that can be worn with almost anything.”

Habitual Drifter Jeans: “Everybody needs a great pair of black skinny jeans. They are a great alternative to leggings, always add confidence and can be interpreted to match anyone’s signature look.”
Maison Martin Margiela Slash Ankle Boot: “A slightly updated take on a classic, these edgy black boots are the perfect staple shoe in a chic fall wardrobe. They will break in nicely, look better with age and add just a touch of high fashion flare to any Fashion Week ensemble.”
