Handbag heavyweight Coach hosted a decadent dinner party at London’s hot spot The Arts Club in honor of A-lister and style legend Gwyneth Paltrow. The megastar, whose ads for the brand debuted earlier this summer, is the face of the line’s Autumn/Winter campaign. The campaign photos, which were shot on the Tudor City skyscraper in NYC and will run in Asian and European markets, were snapped by famed photographer Peter Lindbergh. The feast also celebrated the opening of Coach’s first European flagship store on London’s famously fashionable New Bond Street, in addition to marking the line’s 70th anniversary.
Celebs and tastemakers such as Thandie Newton, Chloe Moretz, Mario Testino, Jasmine Guinness and Paltrow’s Coldplay cutie Chris Martin toasted the leading lady and the luxury line, while sipping Ruinart champagne and savoring grilled lamb chops and tiger prawns.
The woman of the honor donned a flawless tan under a bold, mandarin orange Lanvin number which she paired with crimson open-toed booties and a chic clutch. Before hitting the festivities, Paltrow looked every bit the British mod-girl, with a stunning black and white coat that contrasted beautifully with the red heels.
Paltrow always exudes an approachable class and elegance that, much like Coach, is aspirational yet amazingly attainable.
