A tasting with Fig & Olive New York

Fig & Olive restaurant in New York City is proud to announce a new winter menu as well as two new locations. I had the opportunity to sit down with Fig & Olive’s general manager, Will Sears, and enjoy 3 new additions to their already delicious menu.

They will be sponsoring POSHGLAM’s Breast Cancer Awareness event with delicious appetizers on October 29. Fig & Olive will also be giving our POSHGLAM readers a 20% discounted lunch this week only at their Meatpacking location (420 West 13th Street).

The winter Fig & Olive salad ($15) is a fresh update to their classic and most popular salad.  New ingredients like caccio de roma and an Arbequina olive oil balsamic dressing gives the salad a tangy taste.

The romaine and endive baby beet salad ($16) is a perfect mix of sweet and savory. Delicious caramelized goat cheese with pistachio and maple pecan nuts, this salad defines what a holiday salad should taste like.

The crostinis is a must-try.  They are great as an appetizer with your friends or a meal for yourself.  There are 11 crostinis on the menu to choose from ($9.50 for 3, $18 for 6) and I would highly recommend trying one of their new additions which had a fig spread, almond bits, and a Manchego cheese to top it off.
